  • Blanket border design problem

I’m designing a twin size blanket for my grandson who likes this design and wants Harry Potter House colors. This will be three panels of this design sewn together. I think the design works where the sewing happens. My issue is making the right side border look correct. If I repeat the edging of the left side, then it’ll also double that thin stripe where the sewing happens and maybe that would look fine too, but the draft editor doesn’t let me increase the repeats to see what it would look like. I suppose I could just go with this and if it looks wrong, I could sew on some blanket edging. I plan to hem the top and bottom( no fringe). If anyone has any ideas about that right border, I’d appreciate it.

If I’m understanding the problem correctly what you want is that extra bit on the right of just one panel (the one with the right selvage free) but not the other two.

If that’s right, you could add the narrow band to the right selvage, weave one panel, and then remove those extra threads for the other two panels.
