A Rigid Heddle Class I would love
I would love to take a Handweaving.net 3 shaft pattern for a scarf ie. John Landes Weaving Draft: Profile No. 19 (b), John Landes Manuscript, Pennsylvania, United States, ca 1800, #80423 or Weaving Draft: Profile No. 44, John Landes Manuscript, Pennsylvania, United States, ca 1800, #80451 and go step by step starting with picking the density for a scarf, choosing correct fibers to match density, threading the particular pattern, and weaving. Then after becoming more skilled at converting, bring in ways to change colors as most patterns only utilize 1 warp color and 1 weft color. This would be using Tien’s expertise. As Carly has demonstrated, RH is so much more than plain weave. Carly also has given us valuable information to understand the multi heddle. I need the next step which is to use this information and generalize it to my setting and a project. This will cement all the content for me.
