    Tomorrow I will wash and iron 12 placemats which will need hemming. Do you use the weaving hemstitch we often use between pieces on the loom, or a regular hemstitch like hemming pants? I don’t want the stitches to show. It will be a lot of work.

    I just use a small stitch, not even sure what to call it. I fold the hem under twice so the serged end is ‘buried’, then sew up the open edges, across the width and finish the other edge.     Oh Laura! Just what I needed to see! I had woven enough hem to make the tube, but forgot I might like to trim the corners. Thanks so much!
