Major update to the Draft Editor!
Kris Bruland of Handweaving.net has released a major update to the Draft Editor with MANY major improvements! Now that they’re official I’ll start adding lots of new helpfiles to the Draft Editor section of the Weavers Toolbox and updating the ones already there to reflect the new reality.
Here’s a list of just some of the improvements I’m really excited about:
* You can rename the draft before you download the wif or images.
* You can add and remove multiple threads at a time. This lets you adjust the dimensions of your draft much more easily and quickly.
* Click and drag now draws straight draw instead of a single diagonal from corner to corner. This lets you create a simple threading or treadling super easily.
* When you copy/paste threads, you can now insert new copies into the grid instead of overwriting what’s already there. This lets you add repeats much more quickly.
* When you copy/paste in the threading, treadling, or tie-up, you can opt to let what you’re pasting wrap beyond the edges of the grid to the opposite edge. This is great for twill tie-ups and for advancing threadings or treadlings.
This update is live on Handweaving.net and everywhere the Draft Editor appears here at the Academy, including on the standalone Draft Editor page.
